I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing… This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:5, 8
On October 4 we will begin a new season in our small group ministry. This is an especially good time for you to join us! Come by yourself, with a family member, or bring a friend.
We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Our evening begins with a wonderful meal and an opportunity to fellowship and catch up with one another’s lives. After dinner, we will separate into our separate studies. We will be offering three different studies beginning October 4.
To which study might God be directing you?
Six Steps to Reading Your Bible: Whatever your current Bible reading habits (or lack of them), and whatever your level of knowledge and confidence, this study will help you make progress in getting into your Bible. Discover the joy of feeding regularly and richly on God’s life-giving word. This 6 week study includes teaching by Tony Payne on DVD, as well as Bible study and discussion.
Ephesians: God’s Big Plan for Christ’s New People: This 10 week Bible study on the book of Ephesians helps us understand that being part of the church means we are selected by God through Christ to show the mystery of God’s electing love to the world. The ten studies in this guide will help groups discover the richness of God’s grace towards His people, and grow as the body of Christ.
The Course of Your Life: The course seeks to revolutionize hearts and minds by focusing on the central and profound issues of who God is, what he has done in Christ, what his extraordinary plans are for the world and for us, and how that generates a whole new agenda for the course of our lives: to be a disciple-making disciple of Jesus. In addition to the small group meetings, this group requires that you participate in a one-to-one meeting for Bible study with another group member every other week and a weekend seminar in January.
Questions? Curious? Try it for a week or two to see what you think! You might just get hooked! –No cooking, great fellowship, plenty of laughs as well as deep discussion, time in God’s word, and prayer. You really can’t go wrong!
